Shawn Wahl with sons Dillon (left) and Dalton (on lap).. Hello fellow sportsmen and sportswomen! My name is Shawn Wahl and I am native to Montana. The earliest memories I have of hunting was when I was in a backpack with my father. The outdoors have been a major impact on me. By the time I was 5 years old, I had already been on Moose, Elk, Deer, Antelope, and bird hunting expeditions. By the time I was 12, I had been on more hunts and kills then most people see in a lifetime. I was involved in and worked with my father, who was an outfitter in Montana for nine years. As a result of the outfitting business, I began doing Taxidermy work for our clients from the time I was 15 years old. In recent years, I have been with my family and friends on hunting expeditions of our own. I have traveled to several different states and have had the experience of seeing all different wildlife that nature has to offer. My experiences are my inspiration to what led me to the career of Taxidermy. I have been married to my wife almost 10 years and sometimes I feel I created a monster. She is also a native to Montana and grew up in a rich hunting area. We have a love for this sport and the outdoors and hope to encourage our children to have also. In June of 2002, we discovered that there was a taxidermy business and store for sale in Broadus, Montana. We sat down and thought real hard. Then, decided we wanted more time to spend with each other doing something we both love and this was a opportunity we just could not pass up. So, we jumped right in. We have built all of our equipment by hand and have had several family members contribute to this. We have found that the best investment we have made is to learn how to do our own tanning. It took a lot of leg work and long hours but we finally made it. We encourage anyone who has a dream of any kind to never give up that dream.
